This is apparently a problem with Netscape on MacOS. It does not support the JDK 1.1 event model. It only supports the JDK 1.0.2 event model. In the Windows and Linux/Unix world, the 1.0.2 event model became obsolete about 2.5 yrs ago. The next version of Netscape (V5 - Mozilla) should be able to support the JDK 1.1/1.2 features. All our applets use the 1.1 Event model. So they all should have the same problem. But Mapper is the most event-intensive one.
