Internet copying. Except for some of the abstracts, I guarantee each and every one of my prints to be as clear and vivid as if you were looking through a window! At my shows, one of the most frequent questions I'm asked is if my photographs are real, because they appear so perfect. My images are all actual photographs and are not graphically enhanced or manipulated in any way. What you see is exactly what I saw when I took the picture.

Blurry images are generally due to one or all of the following three causes. The subject was not in focus, the camera was moving at the time of the exposure, the image was captured at too low a resolution. Out of focus images are by far the biggest problem with most of the images we see on the internet, we strongly urge you to learn to focus your camera. Blurry images are often the result of movement during image capture. Either the camera was not held still – a phenomenon called "camera shake" – or the subject was moving and the camera did not fire with a fast enough shutter speed to freeze the action. See similar questions...

It is possible you have the Flash Mode set to one of the Slow Sync modes (lighting bolt with the word Slow). Slow synchronization flash sets a slow shutter speed for the background exposure and fires the flash for the subject exposure. Since the shutter speed is slow, your subject should be still and the camera should be on a tripod otherwise blur can result. See similar questions...

Make sure the images you upload are large enough resolution. At least 550 pixels along the longest dimension. Also, make sure your computer is not running any kind of "accelerator" programs. These programs are most common with aol and earthlink and "speed up" your download speed by reducing image quality. See similar questions...

If you are using a recent version of Acrobat Reader, and your printer successfully prints other types of documents, then the most common cause of Acrobat printing errors is a missing or damaged printer driver. Try uninstalling/reinstalling your printer, and be sure that the installation process uses the driver that comes on the printer's installation CD or diskette. The default printer drivers that come with Windows can sometimes cause problems. See similar questions...

Either you need to use the hotkeys to adjust the image, or the glasses lenses aren't flickering. If the image is blurry that could mean your glasses aren't turned on. For the wired they will turn on automatically, for wireless you need to hit the small ON button above the left lens. Click once for ON and it will stay on until you end the game. The lens should noticeably darken just a bit and everything will appear in clear 3D. See similar questions...

PTMac uses reduced size images for the warped image preview and in the panorama editor window. The scale of the thumbnail images had to be reduced to gain acceptable performance on older computers. You can change the scale of images used for the editor window via the pop-up in the lower left corner of the editor window. Depending on the size of the original document, some of the thumbnails are less than 1% of the size of the original. This extreme condensation of information is difficult to do with perfect clarity. Occasionally, the digital file we get for displaying a new photo on screen is very small. When we enlarge it for display on the ordering screens it can appear blurry. However, once an order is placed for a photo, we obtain a high-resolution digital file of that photo for printing at the maximum resolution possible. Fast PDF optimizes fonts for printing, and printers have a different resolution than computer screens. Some fonts work well at both resolutions, but some don't. We'll be upgrading the fonts (and the font-handling software...) on our servers to higher quality versions as we can so that conversion results will look good both printed and on the screen. Night Scene mode is designed to help you capture better exposures outdoors in low-light conditions. The camera holds the shutter open longer than it would in other situations, allowing more light to reach the CCD.
