Yes, provided the named rider's licence (including learner riders) allows for it, any named rider is covered to ride any of the bikes on a policy. For example, if you have 4 bikes on your policy and 4 named riders (and their licences allow for it), then any of the 4 riders would be covered to ride any of the 4 bikes automatically. Mountain bikes generally are not permitted off road in any national park. On unpaved roads or trais at Great Sand Dunes, mountain bikes are either unsuitable because of soft sand, or not permitted because of wilderness designation. The Zapata Loops at the Zapata Falls Recreation Area, 9 miles south of the Visitor Center, provide mountain biking trails of varying difficulty. The area is managed by the Bureau of Land Management. That depends what type of riding you want to do. We have free mountain bikes for guests. There is a short ride to the lighthouse, or for the more energetic you can ride to Onuku, the Maori village that is about 7 kilometers from Akaroa.
