Do not open or puncture the can. Place the unopened can in a sealable bag, wrap another plastic bag around it, and tape it tightly. Dispose the taped bags in a trash receptacle for non-recyclable trash outside the home and out of reach of humans and pets. Wash hands with soap and running water for at least 2 minutes. Any food that may be contaminated with botulinum toxin should be discarded using extreme care.

All of the products on the list. This is a change from the original recall, when only cans with a certain date code were being recalled, so be sure to check your canned food again. We want to remind consumers that as an added level of safety, we are recalling all products listed below, regardless of “Best By” dates printed on the cans.

If you develop signs or symptoms of botulism, seek medical attention immediately. These include new onset of double vision, blurred vision, drooping eyelids, slurred speech, difficulty swallowing, or muscle weakness. If untreated, the illness may progress from head to toe, with paralysis of the face, arms, breathing muscles, trunk, and legs. Symptoms generally begin 18 to 36 hours after eating a contaminated food, but they can occur as early as 6 hours or as late as 10 days.

If your pet develops signs of botulism, seek veterinary attention immediately. Signs of botulism in pets are similar to those in people. In addition, your pet may have difficulty holding its head up or its tongue may hang out of the mouth. There is no specific treatment for botulism in animals, but supportive medical care may be helpful. Watch your pet for signs of botulism for 10 days after it ate the recalled product.

If you receive a notice that a returnable you borrowed has been recalled, return the item immediately to the Interlibrary Loan office. The Interlibrary Loan and Document Delivery Services Department will attempt to find another copy for you, if requested. Your circulation record will be BLOCKED if you fail to return a recalled item within 5 days. All blocks on your record will be removed when the overdue item is returned.

Whirlpool is recalling approximately 1.4 million Whirlpool, Comfort-Aire and Sears Kenmore dehumidifiers. The dehumidifiers are white plastic, about 2-feet high and have a front-mounted water bucket. They have serial numbers that begin with QG, QH, QJ, QK or QL. The serial and model numbers can be found on a label located on the wall behind the water bucket.

The Tree-Lounge Leveler was recalled because in some cases people were putting the Leveler onto the bottom of the side rails instead of on the top of the side rails causing the aluminum to split around the bolt holes. In all cases the leveler did not break or the stand did not release from the tree. CESSO (the previous owners) voluntarily contacted the Consumer Product Safety Commission and issued the recall in concern for customer safety.

Vioxx® was recalled after a three-year study of 1,300 Vioxx® users found that the drug greatly increased the risk of heart attack and stroke in users. Vioxx® had previously been linked to instances of stomach bleeding and stomach ulcers.

We tookthis action because we identified that some lenses in select lots did not meet our standards for ion permeability (IP), a material characteristic which contributes to lens movement on the eye. Some lenses with reduced ion permeability may cause persistent discomfort until the lens is removed, which could lead to corneal irritation for some wearers.

On August 9, Bridgestone/Firestone recalled 14.4 million ATX, ATX II and Wilderness AT tires. Approximately, 6.5 million are still on the road. On September 12, the tiremaker promised to replace an additional 1.4 million tires named in a September 1 consumer advisory issued by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).
