Surplus stores such as ET's Military Surplus in Havelock, or Saigon Sam's in Jacksonville can provide just about anything you may need to outfit your Young Marine. Second hand uniforms are OK as long as they are not torn or otherwise made unserviceable. Check with the staff of the Havelock Young Marines for further information about purchasing uniforms.

During colder weather, a black sweatshirt should be worn under the cammies blouse. If the weather is very cold, any jacket, gloves and hat can be worn over the uniform. Normally, uniforms should only be worn during scheduled drills and special events. Exceptions to this rule are when participating in a fund raising event selling candy or other items. This includes passing a physical fitness test (200 out of a possible 500 points) and a written final, as well as possessing a sharp appearance and motivated attitude. Yes, Westridge has a uniform code. Students are required to be in uniform at all times during the school day. All uniform clothing must be neat, clean, and in good repair. Our uniform maintains a strict uniformity of color (khaki and white), while allowing for some choice of style in the selection of shirts and pants. A marine reserve is an MPA (Marine Protected Area) that enjoys very high levels of protection and continuity (no-taking, forever, without discontinuity).
