Teams take their cars to the wind tunnel to figure out how well air is flowing over the car. They can stop the wind and make changes, then compare the results to find the best aerodynamic shape. Many Vertical Wind Tunnel designs currently in use do not provide airspeeds high enough to satisfy skydivers.
