A Many times on first start-up in the morning, the exhaust may smell like "rotten eggs". This is due to rich fuel condition with a cold engine. However, as the engine warms up, this smell should go away. If it does not, converter damage could possibly follow with extended driving.

You may have hydrogen sulfide in the water and your system may not be designed to address this issue. You may have a bacteria growth in the system or filter cartridge. If you have a filter cartridge, change it and clean the sump with bleach, rinse, add a quarter teaspoon of bleach and put the new filter in.

Such smells do not arise of their own accord. Yeast is the main culprit and bad handling the common fault. Under normal conditions few sulphur compounds may be produced but given a change in environment, processing, or ingredients, metabolism may alter leading to sulphur being excreted in a variety of ways.

You would know it if you had this problem! In some parts of the country, drinking water can contain the chemical hydrogen sulfide, which smells just like rotten eggs. This can occur when water comes into contact with organic matter or with some minerals, such as pyrite. The situation mostly occurs as ground water filters through organic material or rocks.

A foul odor is most likely due to biologic growth in the chemistry tanks. When the water and chemistry is emptied, clean the tanks well with a 1% solution of household bleach and water. Rinse thoroughly then refill the tanks.

The most likely cause is the chemical breakdown of proteins in food and saliva by a variety of micro-organisms (bacteria). The offensive odours are due to volatile sulphur compounds (VSC's) including hydrogen sulphide (H2S), methyl mercaptonm (CH3SH) and dimethyl sulphide (CH3SCH3). H2S is produced mainly off the top surface of the tongue and CH3SH and CH3SCH3 enrich the mal odour from the gums immediately round the teeth (Periodontal Tissues).

Most often, bad breath is caused by dental or periodontal disease. Some dogs do not adequately chew their food; thus they don't clean their teeth naturally by the chewing process. Also, some dogs and cats are just prone to dental plaque, tartar and disease. These pets may need more frequent dental cleanings and treatments. Internal diseases such as kidney disease can also cause bad breath.

Rotten egg odor is cause by the presence of hydrogen sulfide (sulfur) in the water. The hydrogen sulfide can be treated with a chlorinator system or a Manganese Greensand Filter.

Well, it could be that he just needs a bath! If that is not the problem, its possible that he needs to have his anal glands expressed, or that there is an infection of the anal glands. Again, discuss with your vet.

The "Classic" 427SC had competition pipes under the doors. Being real race cars, the finish was not particularly important, and they were typically painted with a simple high temperature paint - usually white (see the top picture), sometimes black. No gloss, and the paint didn't stand up very well. On the other hand, a simple spray can would rejuvenate the pipes. Some people, wanting a more durable finish, have there pipes ceramic coated. Typically the cause is water staying in the water heater too long. This causes the water to turn stagnant. Single handle type water faucets are typically being used in these situations and are not being fully turned to the cold position. This can occur when a water heater is too large for the amount of hot water typically used. It can also occur when the dip tube (cold water inlet) in the water heater deteriorates. Flushing out the water heater will provide an immediate temporary solution.

The life expectancy or only the baffle corrosion of an exhaust changes according to the way and the time of the exhaust use, the type of fuel, etc. Usually, this life time lasts around two years, but for reasons of low quality fuel, this time can be reduced in half. When the roar increases it means that the baffle corrosion is increasing until the moment that the baffle becomes hollow, which means, the steel wool has been exhausted and the only remaining part is the drilled pipe.

Exact weights are given in the technical specifications for each exhaust system, along with a comparison with the weight of the stock exhaust. It is very important to clean the exhaust system thoroughly after installation, as any dirt or debris will later be burned into the exhaust system. A contact cleaner can be used to clean the pipes, while for the titanium muffler outer sleeve we recommend using a multi-purpose spray lubricant (WD-40 or equivalent).
