Well in truth it's not the audio level from the DVD that's too low, it's everything else that's higher. I know this is a horribly generic answer, But here is the reason. You can control the speaker and microphone volume by manipulating the volume control knobs on the dialer. Alternatively, open the Windows Volume Control by selecting the Start menu, followed by Programs, Accessories, Multimedia, and Volume Control.

Turn the control pod volume control ring to the right to increase volume. If it is turned completely clockwise, the system is at full volume. You may also check the computer control panel and increase that volume to a maximum level. The unit has three volume settings, mute--low--high. The third volume setting (double beep feedback) is the highest setting. We have placed a preamble "chime" sound in front of the voice prompts and we have "shaped" the voice prompts themselves to maximize the sound level at this volume setting. We have found that this combination is acceptable for most normal driving conditions.
