You are allowed to repeat a course in which you obtained a passing grade. However, the grades from both enrollments in the course will appear on the transcript; both will be used in calculating the total QPA; and both will be used in determining your class rank. The units, however, are counted only once. Therefore, if a course is taken more than once, the additional enrollments cannot be used to satisfy another curricular requirement, such as a free elective.

Yes, you can retake a class. However, you MUST be on probation, your grade in the course you wish to retake must be a C or lower, and it MUST be approved by your committee before you retake it. The retake grade will always be used in computing the grade point average regardless of whether it is higher or lower than the original grade. A student may retake a course with subsequent removal of the prior grade only once for each course and for a total of two courses in a degree program.

If you fail a class the GI Bill will pay for you to retake it. You can only use your benefits to improve a grade if the grade you received is not acceptable under your program. Say you receive a D and this grade is acceptable under your program you cannot use your benefits to retake the course for a better grade.

This depends upon the class. In general, groups and private training students may retake any one of the "sessions" without tuition charges within six months. (This does not apply to special promotional programs.) Some groups may want to repeat one of the modules that is of particular interest. However, some classes such as the Data Warehousing and Java courses cannot currently be retaken.

What should I do if I cannot get into a class that I need? (i.e. The class is full or the registration system does not allow me to register for it).

A final letter grade won't be assigned until the end of the semester, but you can compute your grade progress yourself by adding up the total points possible at a given point in the semester and finding out what percentage you've earned of those total points. For example, if in Week 8 we've completed activities worth a total of 210 points and your own gradebook total is 179 points, then you currently have a grade of 85.2%, which would fall somewhere in the middle of the "B" range.

Usually, no, if your GPA is your only concern. When you retake a class at UMass, the Registrar's office recalculates your GPA to omit reference to your first grade. Law schools and the LSAC do not. They include every grade on your transcript in calculating your GPA. For students who retake classes, this often means that your LSAC-generated GPA is less than your UMass-generated GPA. Moreover, the law schools will look at your entire transcript, not just you GPA.

M7D at its discretion sends a better grade product at no extra cost whenever diamonds of the minimum specifications ordered are not available. Students can retake a class once without petition, but to take the class again the student must petition the Psychology faculty. It is rare that the Psychology Department supports a student's petition to retake a class for a second time, and this occurs only in exceptional circumstances.

All retake requests must be emailed to the designated customer handling team via the email address in the Terms and Conditions. The Tropicana Premium Fresh citrus specifications allow for only the highest grade possible in fresh citrus, which is US 1 Fancy Grade.

You are required to retest upon reinstatement for an administrative alcohol revocation or upon reinstatement for an administrative alcohol suspension if your driver license expired during the suspension period and has been expired for more than six months.

Students are given a diploma index based on their DSTP scores. Students will receive either a Basic, Standard, or Distinguished Diploma based on that index. Students may retake the DSTP in order to raise their Diploma index. Parents should call their child's counselor if they are not sure of their child's index.
