Our garage door screens have been designed to mount on the outside of your garage door, however, some customers do figure a way to mount them inside of their door. It is recommended to mount on the outside of you door to prevent any possibility of interference with the operation of your door.

Inside mounts are mounted inside the window opening. This is the most common type of mounting providing the neatest and cleanest appearance. Outside mounts hang outside the window opening on or above the window frame. Outside mounts are used on doors or when the window sill depth cannot support an inside mount or, to hide an imperfect window. You may split 2 or more blinds on 1 headrail. This is usually done where there are 2 casement windows and you want to only have 1 blind cover both windows.

Typically, it is at your advantage to have the computer side of a Mini/MicroBiscuit unit indoors and the transformer side of the All-in-oneBiscuit indoors. This will allow for easy access to the monitor, keyboard, and mouse ports inside the unit should you ever need to reconfigure the software. Also it is typically less environmentally detrimental to the unit.

Measure the width inside the window opening at the top, middle and bottom. The top measurement is critical because the headrail must fit! Record the actual dimension of the shortest width to the nearest one eighth of an inch. Measure the height inside the window opening at left, right and center. Record the actual dimension of the shortest height to the nearest one eighth of an inch. Also measure the window on its diagonals.

These are the questions most frequently asked by homeowners. From the outside, no one will notice unless you choose to have a closer weave special mesh, e.g. solar screen mesh (see below). Our industry-standard 18 x 16 grade mesh is almost invisible against the light and from the inside you will barely notice the screens are in place . There is very little loss of light. It is possible to obtain white or other pale coloured mesh but we rarely use it.
