WHY DO THE IMAGES LOOK GRAINY OR RUN OFF MY SCREEN?

This website is optimized for computer monitors displaying at least 800 by 600 pixels at 24 bit color (16.7 million colors). On a Windows-based computer, you may change your display settings by going to the Start menu and choosing Control Panel --> Display --> Settings. Make sure that your display resolution is set to at least 800 x 600 pixels at 24 bit color. If the images still look dark, then please see below.

The images on my screen are grainy, how can I fix this?

Go into the Device Manager and remove all items listed under "Display Adapters". To remove an item in Windows XP and Windows 2000, select the item, click the Action menu, choose Uninstall. To remove an item in Windows 98 and Windows ME, select the item and click Remove. If the installation asks you for the drivers, point the installation to drivers. Use the disk labeled "Electronic Manuals and Driver CD", to obtain the driver (you may have to browse to a specific directory). See similar questions...

If you have noticeable grain or speckles on your film-derived prints it’s very probable that your negatives are highly underexposed (ie: they were not exposed to sufficient light). When photo printing machines encounter underexposed negatives they tend to boost the brightness to compensate, which tends to reveal bad speckly grain. If you are using the Enhanced Preview workflow images will print at the same rate that your images would normally print at, however if you are using the IVUE or FlashPix workflow then the images should print faster because only the information that your printer needs is being sent.
