Yes, you can retake a class. However, you MUST be on probation, your grade in the course you wish to retake must be a C or lower, and it MUST be approved by your committee before you retake it. The retake grade will always be used in computing the grade point average regardless of whether it is higher or lower than the original grade. A student may retake a course with subsequent removal of the prior grade only once for each course and for a total of two courses in a degree program.

If you fail a class the GI Bill will pay for you to retake it. You can only use your benefits to improve a grade if the grade you received is not acceptable under your program. Moreover, the law schools will look at your entire transcript, not just you GPA.

This depends upon the class. In general, groups and private training students may retake any one of the "sessions" without tuition charges within six months. No. This is actually illegal at this university (and probably most others as well). I can only change a final grade if I have made an error in its assignment. As such, there are no post-semester extra-credit assignments or re-examinations permitted. While I am very sympathetic to certain scenarios involving financial aid, scholarships, or admission to a certain school or program, I cannot use such criteria to adjust your grade. Your best bet to keep on top of your studies during the term.

Students can retake a class once without petition, but to take the class again the student must petition the Psychology faculty. It is rare that the Psychology Department supports a student's petition to retake a class for a second time, and this occurs only in exceptional circumstances.

To have your GPA recalculated before your Graduation Check is processed, you must fill out the appropriate form to apply for the "Repetition of Course Policy", after you repeat the course.
