The policy of the Educational Testing Service (ETS) is to maintain GRE scores for a 5 year period only -- after the 5 years, the scores are purged from the ETS computer system. Therefore, if your scores are older than five years, you must discuss with us whether you should retake the test.

If your GRE scores are from within the 5 years prior to the application deadline, you do not need to retake the exams. If they are from more than 5 years prior to the deadline, you need to submit new scores. Temple University requires an official TOEFL score, so we need that before we could offer you admission to the MM&C program.

We accept scores as made available by the Educational Testing Service. As of this writing, the ETS will make CBT scores from applicants in areas that have reverted to the Paper Based Test avilable as long as the scores have not yet expired (5 years). The GMAT is required for applicants in Accounting. The other departments (Finance, Management, Marketing, Real Estate, and Supply Chain and Information Systems) prefer GMAT scores, but the GRE is an acceptable alternative. Scores must be no more than five years old.

While you may choose to submit your scores only to the admitting institution (currently UNCG), we would prefer if you submitted your scores to both Graduate Schools.
