The drain is 83mmm deep and needs a pipe connection to a soil stack or outside wall. Some Underlays have an offset drain hole to permit convenient location. Choose the Underlay with the right balance of drain hole position and overall size to suit your space.

Yes, there are two ways to expedite your order: expedited shipping (see above) and expedited service. Expedited service places your order at the top of the production schedule and can usually be shipped out within 24 hours. The cost for this is an additional 25% of the cost of the rug(s). If possible, refuse delivery of the rug from the shipper and call us immediately so that we can arrange for a replacement.

Woolen rugs are very durable and the pile/knots are so tightly woven that it is very difficult, if not impossible for dogs and cats to destroy them. The myth is that Persian rugs are delicate. Woolen rugs are not; however, silk rugs are. One of our customers told us about how their cat tried to use its claws on the carpet, but gave up when it was unsuccessful because of the tightness of the weave.

Underlay is necessary to stabilize the fabric for the embroidery. For a smaller block, underlay has to be carefully selected so it does not protrude from the block. Determining which kind of underlay to use will depend on the fabric being sewn. For stretchy fabrics such as knits, a stronger underlay like zigzag will work best. For woven fabrics, central or guideline underlay may work. Any combination of underlay can also be used.

The density used for the underlay depends on the quality of the fabric and the density of the design. Average values range between 12 to 20. When sewing on a stretchy fabric, it may be necessary to use a more dense underlay.

Underlay is used in order to stabilize an unstable fabric, so it may be necessary to use underlay when sewing on a stretchy fabric or garment. Zigzag underlay is recommended for use with unstable fabrics, whereas Guideline or Central underlay may be enough underlay.

However, if you want your finished wood floors to be seen, you might want to allow one or two feet of the floor to show around the rug on each side. To a large degree, choosing the size of an area rug comes down to personal preference.
