There can be nearly an infinite number of reasons for water problems. Assuming the water has been ok up till now, some of the more common possibilities are, residual soap in swimwear, makeup or other personal hygiene products. First, we'll assume that you're referring to the globe of your Lava Lamp. If that is in fact correct, the only reason the globe will become cloudy is if the motion lamp has been shaken, stirred, moved, dropped, or caught in an earthquake while the Lava Lamp blobs are warm. We're sorry to inform you that this is probably a permanent problem.

Usually this is because of poor filtration. The remedy for this is to increase the filtration running time and clean the filter. Occasionally the sand in the filter may need to be changed. The other main cause for cloudy water is a calcium build up from the use of granular chlorine. To handle this you will need to reduce the level of the water in your pool and top it back up with fresh water. You will also need to switch to using liquid chlorine.

Cloudy lamination is usually the result of insufficient heat. If the machine has a control to adjust the heat, try increasing the temperature. Also, if using a thermal pouch laminator, you may be using a laminating pouch that is too thick for the machine (some machines have pre-set temperatures designed to work with standard pouch films - usually 3 and 5mil).

It could be many things such as bacterial bloom if you have a new tank or the filter has been compromised, or a white precipitate in hard water where phosphate based pH adjuster has been used.
