No! WinADR is very small so please have no worries about the hard disk space! Unlike other recorder software, WinADR make MP3 files directly. It does not generate a temporary WAV file.

This is perhaps our most frequently asked quesiton, and unfortunately we can not give an accurate answer, as the answer may vary depending on your site and how your users make use of the software.

A Keep these considerations in mind: 1) your logs are kept in your own space, and even though they are rotated and compressed at the end of each month, they will use a certain amount of space. If you think your site is going to be very popular, then allow say 50Mb for logs. 2) Your database. There may be times when you want to make radical changes to this, and so you will want to have enough room to make a temporary backup in case of disasters. 3) You will need some room for your site to grow.

Participants will be given access to a 75Gbyte partition for the directory structure described in the ICE 2006 protocol. The directory structure includes a "temp" directory. The header in the similarity file is read as text and the similarity scores are read as binary. Since the header information is read as text, the ICE score code can handle both Unix and Windows text files. Basically logfiles do not use your disk space. But you have the possibility to save logfiles on your virtual hosts for further processing on your local machine. If you activate this feature, the logfiles uses your disk space as long as you delete them after you have them downloaded. This feature is disabled by default.

However, systems staff may monitor disk usage at any time, and may send users with large directory trees gentle, or perhaps not-so-gentle, reminders that some cleanup is in order.
