Yes, A student can either work on-campus through our Federal Work Study Program or through Campus Employment. The only restriction is that the first 2 weeks of the Fall and Spring semesters are reserved for the hiring of work-study students ONLY, unless special circumstances exist.

FWS provides you with the opportunity to work on campus for a paycheck. You are not required to accept the award. If you choose to accept FWS, you will be issued a paycheck based on the hours worked. FWS earnings are not automatically applied toward student's tuition bill. If you complete the Tuition Reduction Form available in our Student Services Office, your on-campus earnings can be credited to your tuition account.

Since funding is very limited, first priority is given to those continuing work-study students. However, we still recommend that you file your FAFSA by March 2nd indicating that you are interested in work study.

The Federal Work Study program is a form of need based financial aid which subsidizes the student's wages. Students with a Federal Work Study award are eligible for certain student jobs to earn money toward college expenses. Each student who receives approval for Work Study employment will be allocated a certain number of hours that he/she may work (but not exceed) as part of the program. Work Study students receive a paycheck every two weeks, based on the number of hours worked.

Once you register for Summer Classes you need to come to the Financial Aid Office and fill out Summer Financial Aid Application in addition to your FAFSA. NO. The camp with the most pre-registrations will get first choice of campsites. Merchants may have up to 4 adults over 18 camp behind their booths. For everyone else, it's first-come, first-severed...er, SERVED, so either pre-register or get to Rag XXII early to get the choicest spots.

Prizes are awarded to the top five franchises in each 25 team league at the end of the regular season. Additional prizes will also be awarded each week in every league. A prorated Grand Prize will also be awarded to the best overall point getter at the end of the season.

There is a Job fair every August on the last day of orientation weekend (the day prior to the first day of classes). Most departments looking to hire students attend this job fair, while other departments submit their hiring needs in writing. A directory is distributed at the fair that includes a list of available positions on campus, as well as descriptions for each of those positions. At the job fair, students approach departments of interest to them.

The Office of Financial Aid offers about 2,300 undergraduates work on campus in the University bookstore, libraries, and department offices or in community service offices. Jobs to cover meal costs are also available. Through such programs students may earn between $1,500 and $2,500 per academic year. Most students work between 8 and 12 hours per week; we have found that this commitment does not adversely affect academic performance.
