For your home PC, the easiest way is to buy the full Adobe Acrobat package. Of course, this isn't free (at last check it was $70 or so at the software cellar), so here are several other ways to go about it. On the unix side, you have two options, both of which require a postscript file first. One is to use ps2pdf, as in ps2pdf blah.ps blah.pdf Another is to use the old Acrobat package which we have for the Sun machines, like so: distill -embedallfonts on -maxsubsetpct 100 blah.

PDF stands for Portable Document Format. This is the preferred format for digital printers to print from. A PDF is a format that allows a document to be opened and printed by a Mac or a PC without changing the appearance of the document. When creating a PDF it is important to make sure that you embed all the fonts.

With the optional PDF conversion utility, any form or form page can be printed and/or converted to a PDF or TIF file and placed in a shared folder or in a directory in the IFS.

If you are receiving a message "Error loading printer driver" or "class CDINTF.CDINTF is not found or registered", then you will need to re-register the Amyuni driver. Go to the SUPERVISOR menu and click on the ABOUT FOXTROT menu item. From here click on the REGISTER CLASSES button, then try again.

You can create a PDF of the Report by installing a PDF print driver and printing to the PDF print driver rather than to your physical printer. Our Report CD's all include third party open source and shareware PDF print drivers. The most popular is the open source PDF Creator. We provide the PDF print drivers as a convenience to our customers but we do not provide technical support for the PDF creation software.

What usually causes what you are experiencing is the print resolution being different from one page to another.

You must have Adobe Acrobat installed to create [.PDF] files. [.PDF] files are created through File | Print. In the Print dialog box, click the Name list down arrow and then choose Acrobat Distiller or Acrobat PDFWriter from the list of printer drivers. Click OK in the print dialog box to create the file. Q26. I have sent a [.GSB] file to a colleague. When they try to use the [.GSB] file, they get an error message stating that the file "does not appear to be in the correct format."

Note: Starting from QCad version 2.1.1, you can create PDFs on all platforms using the menu 'File' - 'PDF Export'. If you work on Linux, simply print to a file (e.g. drawing.ps). This PS file can be easily converted to EPS or PDF on a console: If you are using Mac OS X, you can use the "Save as PDF" option in the printer dialog to create a PDF file.
