First, we strongly recommend anyone new to the mud not make a channeling character. They are expensive compared to most characters to level and more difficult than warriors by far. To learn the mud it is recommended to make a warrior character of less than 10,000 experience per level. This will be a relatively easy character to level and quick. There is a slightly higher cost associated with making a wilder instead of a latent channeler with the same skills and ability scores. far as RP, a Wilder channeler can roleplay as a latent. A caution though. Any time a channeler is seen channeling by another player, it is possible for anyone observing to choose to take the channeling as In Character.
