How does weight distribution affect boat performance?

Stingray Powerboats - Engine and Performance FAQ
Weight distribution is extremely important to boat safety as well as performance. Weight can affect a boat's running angle, attitude, performance and ride. For the best top speed with a moderate to fast-planing boat, passenger loading in most cases should be evenly distributed. Each boater should seek out what weight locations best suit his needs. Always remember; weight distribution is not confined strictly to fore and aft locations, but also applies to lateral weight distribution.

Does weight effect conception rates? What about body fat distribution?

FertilityPlus: Infertility FAQ for Women of Size
There was a study published in the British Medical Journal that found that very lean women and very obese women (BMI >38) had lower conception rates. However, body fat distribution was found to have a greater impact. Women with a high waist-hip ratio had greater trouble conceiving -- so being shaped like an apple is not as good for conception as being shaped like a pear. PCO women may be more likely to have the apple shape. See similar questions...

How does the barrel rifling affect the performance of the muzzleloader?

Dixie Gun Works muzzleloading, blackpowder and rare antique ...
The method of rifling the barrel will have a profound impact on the accuracy of the muzzleloader. The rate of twist of the rifling will determine the proper type of projectile. For slow twist barrels (1 turn in 56 to 72 inches) use a patched round ball. For fast twist barrels (1 turn in 16 to 28 inches) use a conical bullet. Medium twist barrels are designed to shoot both patched round balls and conical bullets. Round balls may be used in a muzzleloader with a fast twist with good results. See similar questions...

How does salt affect my weight?

Diet and Weight Loss FAQ : www.Hateweight.com
Salt has no calories. But if you take in a good amount of salt, you will gain weight temporarily. Also low consumption of salt can result in weight loss as it causes the body to expel water. There are many diet programs, which do not allow salt in their diet plans. So there is a temporary weight loss. But as soon as you complete the program and start eating salt contents, you start gaining weight. So it has very little to do with long-term weight loss. But salt does affect blood pressure. How does altitude affect performance?

Stingray Powerboats - Engine and Performance FAQ
Elevation has a very noticeable effect on the wide-open-throttle (WOT) power of an engine. Since air gets thinner as altitude increases, the engine begins to starve for air (oxygen) and horsepower is lost. If the boat has been set up at a lower altitude and then moved to a much higher altitude, there will be a noticeable reduction in power, thus rpm. With Stingray's efficient z-plane running surface, a drop in propeller pitch of 2" to 4" will usually solve most altitude problems. See similar questions...

How does climate affect performance?

Stingray Powerboats - Engine and Performance FAQ
Summer conditions of high temperature, low barometric pressure, and high humidity all combine to reduce engine power as much as 15%. This, in turn, is reflected in decreased boat speeds, (in some cases) as much as three to five miles per hour. Nothing will regain this speed for the boater except the coming of cool, dry weather. Accompanying this weather-induced loss of power is a second, but more subtle, loss. See similar questions...

What effect does trim have on boat performance?

Stingray Powerboats - Engine and Performance FAQ
The trim angle of the outboard/stern drive has a distinct effect on the planing angle of the boat, which, in turn, significantly alters top speed and handling. The engine/drive should be trimmed in for best start-up acceleration and shortest time to plane. The engine/drive would then be trimmed out for peak performance. If trimmed "in" (under) too far, the bow drops and the boat runs too wet. See similar questions...

Tattoo FAQ - BME Encyclopedia
Tattoos can definitely be affected by stretch marks. Whether you will or won't get stretch marks is apparently determined genetically, so placement is a consideration if you are planning on getting pregnant. How does my blood sugar affect my weight?

Diet and Weight Loss FAQ : www.Hateweight.com
A hormone called insulin is created by our pancreas, which transports blood sugars in to our body cells. There it is used for energy. The refined grains that we eat have most of their fiber stripped away. The amount of sugar in it is quickly processed in to blood sugar. The pancreas work over time to produce the necessary insulin necessary for all the blood sugars to be used for energy. This insulin surge tells that enough energy is available and it should now start storing fat. See similar questions...
