In my mind, essay grades start at 50 for a turned-in on-time assignment and earn points as I read. For course investment, however, everyone starts at 100 and loses points (down to zero, if necessary) for missed classes and inadequate participation, or other elements of course investment.

Assuming that you have been training for a long enough period and have trained frequently enough, gradings can be attempted two or three times a year. This will nevertheless depend on the club, age of the student and the grade being attempted.

We use the very best L&H threaded rod to manufacture our U-Bolts. All 3/8" thru 9/16 U-Bolts are graded to meet or exceed grade 5. All 5/8" thru 1 1/4" U-Bolts are graded to meet or exceed grade 8.

Maple syrup must meet exacting standards for purity. High quality Grade A syrup can be made only by the evaporation of pure maple sap, and by weight may contain no less than 66 percent sugar (Brix). Grade A maple syrup is classified according to its color. The darker the syrup, the stronger the maple taste.

Technically there is no such thing as impact grade hickory. As far as official designations from all professional hardwoods associations and arborist, there is no such thing. But in reality there is select hickory above and beyond the average hickory that is available. The wood that we are able to obtain is the best wood for martial art use in the world. Period. This wood is so dense that it often will SINK in water.

A final letter grade won't be assigned until the end of the semester, but you can compute your grade progress yourself by adding up the total points possible at a given point in the semester and finding out what percentage you've earned of those total points. For example, if in Week 8 we've completed activities worth a total of 210 points and your own gradebook total is 179 points, then you currently have a grade of 85.2%, which would fall somewhere in the middle of the "B" range.
