If the program is frozen, you will need to press Ctrl-Alt-Del. This will bring up the Task Manager, which will give you a list of all of the programs that are currently running. If the program is frozen, it will probably have the text "Not Responding" beside it. Click on this program to highlight it, then select End Task. After a couple of seconds, the program should close.

The ball could be dirty and not making contact with the contacts inside the mouse. There is a little screw by the ball. Unscrewing the screw will allow the ball to come out. Clean the ball and try it again. If that didn't work, then you must re-adjust the two analog pots inside your mouse. Remove the cover (there are two other screws). Some cameras have the ability to focus continuously and snap a picture as soon as you press the shutter. This reduces the time spent focusing. Your drive starts to make repeated clicking sounds and soon fails. Disks in a drive which Clicks may be corrupted and, if placed in a good drive, may cause a good drive to start Clicking. If your Zip drive starts to do noticeable clicking, the standard advice is to immediately eject the disk or, if this is not possible, turn OFF power to the drive (or pull out the power connector on the side of the drive).
