If the lid was not securely tightened after the last use, you may find that the felt seems dry the next time you open it. You can quickly re-hydrate the pad by putting 2-4 drops of water on the pad surface. After about 30 second, your pad is ready to use again. I use ovencleaner. Chas Klensch, Underground Press, NYC I understand that oven cleaner is basicly lye, which is what the old timers used. I read somewhere not to use lye for cleaning (I think they were trying to sell some sort of chemical instead) so I ran out and tried it. It works so well on metal type that the stuff looks new. The problem is it cleans so effectively, the type may start to corrode unless you put some oil on it to preserve it. Lye is readily available at grocery stores. See similar questions...

Place the clogged nozzles in a shallow dish filled with warm water and soak them until dried ink begins to flow from the nozzle. After several minutes of letting the dried ink flow, remove the nozzle from the water and gently dry it with a soft tissue or cotton swab. Here are simple guides to re-inking your custom stamps. Note- our inks are formulated to create a lasting and vivid impression, and this can include fabrics and skin if caution is not taken. Rubber gloves, paper towels or tissue may be helpful to prevent stains. If ink does get on your skin rubbing alcohol and a strong industrial hand cleaner are the best tools to remove the stain. It is difficult to give an exact amount of impressions as different materials absorb greater/lesser amounts of ink and hence can significantly reduce/increase the lifespan of the ink pad. Under normal circumstances however, you should get a couple of thousand impressions from your stamp and when the ink pad does run dry, you can simply order a new one. Good question! Two reasons: 1) We want you to be able to take your eyebrow stamp with you easily in your purse. A rectangular ink pad would take up much more space. 2) With a rectangular pad, you will be stamping in one spot every time, and much of the ink will go unused. The neutral position described in #7 can not be achieved while in contact with most commercial wrist pads. For this reason keyboarding is best performed from a "floating" wrist position. Thus contact with wristpads is best between bouts of keying only. Frequent rest, away from the keyboard, becomes necessary with floating wrists because it tends to emphasize shoulder muscle contraction. Paradise Mountain Log Homes are built primarily with Engleman spruce logs. Occasionally we can use Douglas Fir, Western Red Cedar and Lodgepole pine. Engleman spruce is a very tight grained and light in color log and known for it's strength and minimal taper. The logs we use are an average of 12-14 inches mean diameter and are winter harvested when the sap is down. The logs are then air-dried through the year to a moisture content of 19 percent or less. We have found that Hewlett Packard printers that use C6615DN and 51645A black inkjet cartridges may have difficulties with black ink smearing or flaking. There may be additional cartridges that exhibit this behavior. For printers that use these cartridges, or if you experience this problem, choose the "Photo" mode in the printer driver to switch the printers from four-color mode to three-color mode.
