A solar system consists of a solar collector, a regulator, a multistage pump and a very good insulated hot water tank. The collector on the roof collects the energy from the sun with its absorbers and transfers it via a solar medium (glycol MH – the non-poisonous type). The heat is transferred through copper pipes into the solar storage tank. The solar station with its built-in regulator transports the heat via a heat exchanger, into a solar storage tank.

Solar cells are made of thin layers of silicon. When sunlight strikes the cells, a reaction releases electrons, generating electric current. A device called an inverter changes this DC power into AC which is the electricity needed to power our homes and businesses. A solar cell can operator for more than 40 years with minimal maintenance .

Sunlight is composed of photons, or particles of solar energy. These photons contain various amounts of energy corresponding to the different wavelengths of the solar spectrum. When photons strike a photovoltaic cell, they may be reflected, pass right through, or be absorbed. Only the absorbed photons provide energy to generate electricity. When enough sunlight (energy) is absorbed by the material (a semiconductor), electrons are dislodged from the material's atoms.

The Solar Panel converts UV rays (sunlight) to electric current which charges the main storage battery. An inbuilt regulator prevents over-charging. A high-torque 12 volt motor is then driven by the battery. Typically there is 5 days of inbuilt storage to allow for bad weather conditions.

A solar electric system consists of solar electric modules – AKA “Panels” – and one or more inverters. A Solar Electric Module reacts directly to sunlight by generating one-directional electrical current, called DC (direct current). An inverter changes the DC generated by the modules into AC (alternating current), the same electricity supplied by the utility that powers lights, refrigerators, office machines, and appliances.

One of the most cost-effective uses of solar energy is to heat swimming pools. Swimming pools require low temperature heat, which is where solar collectors are most efficient. You can use either unglazed or glazed collectors to heat outdoor swimming pools, however, unglazed collectors are most commonly used on outdoor pools.

Your Solar Water heating System is designed to operate on thremosyphon or natural convection principle. The driving force for circulation in such a system is derived purely from the density difference between hot and cold water. No mechanical or electrical device is used to pump water through the solar collector. As the water gets heated it becomes lighter, and so tends to " automatically" rise, and in turn is displaced by the comparatively heavier cold water from the storage tank.

With a Solahart thermosiphon system the sun heats a glycol liquid in the solar panels, which in turn heats household water in the Solahart cylinder. The circulating liquid is impervious to the cold and prevents frost damage to the panels. No the liquid circulates by convection. Heated liquid rises up from the panels to the cylinder to heat your water then falls back to the panels to be reheated by the sun. The cylinder must be installed above the panels.

The principles are quite straightforward. Solar panels absorb energy from the sun to heat a fluid that is pumped in a sealed circuit to an indirect coil in a water cylinder to heat the domestic water.

Imagine a garden hose that has been lying in the sun. When you turn on the faucet, out comes hot water. That's solar heating. The sun's energy has been absorbed by the hose and transmitted as heat to the water inside it. The hose acts as a solar collector. Comfortable swimming water temperature is relatively low compared to other uses of hot water. This allows the use of simple, efficient solar collectors (see following question).

sunshine strikes the collector, the water inside it is heated. If the circulating pump is regulated by a PV panel, the pump starts turning as the PV panel is activated by the same sunshine. This direct current (DC) motor pump moves water from the tank through the collector and back to the tank. As the sun's intensity changes throughout the day, the circulating pump also changes its speed accordingly.

a general rule, most patients can remove the dressings, place Band-Aids over the small incision, shower, remove the Band-Aids, pat the wound dry, and re-apply Band-Aids. Until the wounds are healed and the sutures removed, you should not soak the knee in a hot tub or immerse it in a swimming pool
