What is Bi-Level Sync?

AccuPel HDG-2000 HDTV Component Video Calibration Generator
Bi-Level sync is a negative going pulse added to the beginning of each scan line on the Y signal in YPbPr (or YPbPrs) output mode, or the G signal in RGB (or RGBs) output mode. The sync pulse amplitude is nominally -0.3 volts below the blanking level. (The sync pulse amplitude is nominally -0.278 volts in the YPbPrs and RGBs output modes.) The Bi-Level sync pulse width is 40 clock cycles (539 nS) for 720p and 44 clock cycles (593 nS) for 1080i.

How do I know if a source is using HV sync without either Tri-Level or Bi-Level sync?

AccuPel HDG-2000 HDTV Component Video Calibration Generator
Unplug the separate H & V sync signals going to the display. If the display stops synchronizing the picture then the source is not outputting Bi-Level or Tri-Level sync on the RGB signal lines. In this case it is best to turn off the RGB sync from the HDG-2000 and use only HV sync. The HDG-2000 provides HV sync signals in the YPbPr mode for synchronizing (or triggering) a monitor device like an oscilloscope. See similar questions...

Why can both Bi-Level and Tri-Level sync be turned off in the RGB output modes but not in YPbPr?

AccuPel HDG-2000 HDTV Component Video Calibration Generator
Both Bi-Level and Tri-Level sync can be turned off in the RGB output modes because some manufacturers do not put any embedded sync on the RGB signals (the RCA-DTC100 Satellite Receiver is one example). They rely instead on the separate H (Horizontal) and V (Vertical) sync signals to synchronize the display. In this case if the display is calibrated with Bi-Level or Tri-Level sync turned on errors in black-level and color saturation may result. See similar questions...

Is a Bi-level S/T device better for these patients (COPD, OHS and NMD)?

Sleep Apnea | BiPAP® autoSV™ Frequently Asked Ques...
A Bi-level ST device would be better for these types of patients. Experience with the VPAP adapt on these patients showed that over time the device can not treat them as well. Yes. To treat the complexity of this patients as well as establish a baseline CPAP or BiPAP pressure for OSA, an in lab titration is necessary. See similar questions...

What is a bi-level program?

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Our program offers two levels of nursing. During Level I, you will have three (3) semesters: fall, spring and summer. After the third semester, you may apply for licensure as a practical nurse in the state of your choice, and get an appointment to take the NCLEX-PN?. This is a national licensing exam. What is a BIPAP (Bi-level)?

CPAP, CPAP Machine, CPAP Accessories, new at used prices. Sl...
A BiPAP is a machine that has two different pressure settings, one for inhalation (IPAP) and one for exhalation (EPAP). The machine provides the inhalation pressure, then switches to a lower pressure during exhalation. This differs from CFlex because the exhale pressure is an exact setting, not just a drop in pressure. A BiPAP unit and a BiPAP Auto are the most expensive of the machines, and are usually prescribed when a patient needs very high inhalation pressures above 15cm. See similar questions...

What is Tri-Level Sync?

AccuPel HDG-2000 HDTV Component Video Calibration Generator
Tri-Level sync consists of a negative going pulse, followed by a positive going pulse, added to the begining of each scan line on each of the Y, Pb, and Pr signals in YPbPr (or YPbPrs) output mode, or on each of the R, G, and B signals in RGB (or RGBs) output mode. The negative sync pulse amplitude is nominally -0.3 volts below the blanking level and the positive sync pulse amplitude is nominally +0.3 volts above the blanking level. (Sync pulse amplitudes are nominally -0.278 volts and +0. See similar questions...

How does my patient obtain the CPAP or Bi-Level machine?

sleep DATA
You will need to prescribe the CPAP or Bi-PAP machine and make a referral to a durable medical equipment (DME) company. That DME company will notify your patient and arrange for equipment orientation and set-up. Following a patient for OSAS should be a combined effort. The physician, sleep testing company, and DME company should participate in a team effort to assure that the patient is able to comply with therapy. See similar questions...

Can the wall switch sensors be used for bi-level switching?

FAQs
Yes, with the use of the appropriate coverplate (ASP-122 for WI, ASP-432 for WA, WS) and the addition of a standard wall switch. See schematic #57-001. See similar questions...

What is the difference between bi-level controllers DM-100, DM-105 and DM-105-WP?

FAQs
The DM-100 is designed for retrofit projects and contains a capacitor. The DM-105 and DM-105-WP are designed for new construction and outdoor use, respectively, and are not supplied with capacitors. If you have a DM-100 or DM-105, jumper terminals 1 and 3 together. If you have a DM-105-WP, connect the red and blue leads of the module together. See similar questions...

What are the different sync signals and how they work ?

ePanorama.net - Circuits
Currently, most TVs and computer monitors are still based on the Cathode Ray Tube (CRT) as the display device. Normal video monitor uses raster scanning to draw the picture to the catode ray tube. The electron beam moves in lines, from left to right and from top to bottom. When the beam reaches the end of a line, it returns at greater speed to its original starting point. When it goes back, brightness is suppressed for a split second. See similar questions...

Why does spawn fail with "sync byte ...."?

Expect FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)
When I spawned a process using Expect, I got the following message: parent: sync byte read: bad file number child: sync byte write: bad file number This is one of these "should not happen" errors. For example, the following question in this FAQ mentions that it could be the fault of the C library. Another possibility is that you've run out of some system resource (file descriptors). The most likely reason is that you're calling spawn in a loop and have neglected to call close and wait. See similar questions...
