When promoting your club or event it is important to know who your target groups are.  What works for one group may not work for another.  It may help you to build partnerships with non-sporting organisations or to find different communication methods.  Plan carefully as you may be targeting groups who either do not usually play sport or perceive barriers to their participation.

Every quarter we choose a charity of the month to promote. Because we get approached by hundreds of charities each year, we are unable to fulfill all the requests we receive. The IDEA club is promoted by the IDEA Center. As far as finances are concerned, most of the money spent by this organization is obtained from University funding, membership dues, and/or the pocket money of the IDEA club leaders. Each year, we compile a list of Official Events. In order to become an Official Pride Event, the Pride Office must receive all event listings prior to April 21st.
