The frequency of asymptomatic shedding parallels that of symptomatic outbreaks. There is little asymptomatic shedding in people with genital herpes due to HSV-1 (and therefore not much risk of transmitting herpes to their partners). The precise procedures for the T & P percolation tests are outlined in the EPA, Wastewater Treatment Manual, Treatment Systems for Single Houses. On day one pre soaking is conducted which simply involves filling the percolation test holes with water. On day two the test proper is conducted and could extend into additional days depending on the results applicable to the site.
