To place an item on the agenda, contact the Office of the City Manager at 732-2012. Items appearing on the Agenda receive prior approval of the City Manager. The City Council cannot take any action on items not listed on the printed agenda. To speak on an item already on the agenda, simply let the Mayor, an Alderman or the City Clerk know that you are there to speak on a specific item, and you will be called on when the item is discussed.

If you would like to be on the City Council agenda, please put your request in writing to: Mayor and Council, 31555 W. Eleven Mile, Farmington Hills, MI 48336. Include as much detail as possible about the issue you want to address before Council. You can also come to a meeting and talk to the Mayor & Council during the "Public Questions & Comments" portion of the meeting. Your presentation during this time is limited to 5 minutes.

You may also pick up a copy of the Council Agenda at the City Agenda Office, the City Secretary's Office, the City Hall Information Desk in the Lobby of City Hall, and at all library locations. The City Agenda Office is located at Dallas City Hall - Room 4FS.

The agenda for each City Council meeting is posted and available by 3:00 P.M. on the Friday prior to the meeting. The current City Council Agenda is available online here; hardcopies are also available at the City Clerk's Office.

City Council meetings are the first and third Tuesday of each month. Any member of the public may attend and address the Council under public comment. The Mayor or a member of the Council can then request that an item be placed on a future agenda for full discussion. Or you can complete a Request to Place an Item on the City Council Agenda form, available at the City Clerk's Office, which outlines your request/concern.

Council meeting agendas are finalized by noon on the Thursday prior to the Monday meeting. Packet compilation and distribution is done that same afternoon whenever possible.

Citizens can attend any City Council meeting and sign-up to speak in the public comment section of the meeting.

Yes. Members of the public are welcome to attend all City Council meetings. The City Council generally meets the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Monday of the month. Meetings begin at 7:30 PM and are held in Council Chambers at City Hall (called the Floyd A. Cairns Municipal Building), 31555 W. Eleven Mile at the corner of Orchard Lake Road.

The public may address Council Members during the "Oral Communications" portion of City Council meetings. If you are interested in a particular Public Hearing item, the public is given a chance to speak when the item is considered by the City Council.

C-VIEW will "scroll" the agenda at 5:30 p.m. just prior to the meeting's official proceedings. Agendas for upcoming City Council meetings are also available on the City of Clearwater web site from the Official Records and Legislative Services Department.

Currently, City Council Meetings are only available in audio tape. Copies can be obtained for a nominal fee from the City Clerk's Office at (909) 620-2341. If Pomona residents have tried to contact the customer service line and still have questions concerning their cable provider, please contact the City's Public Information Office at (909) 620-2572 for assistance.

Citizens may address the Council at regular meetings on the issues listed on the Agenda. Regular Council meetings are every other Monday at 7:00 p.m. For items not on the Agenda, a citizen should contact the City Clerk's Office the Wednesday prior to the meeting, to secure a place on the Agenda. Rules for City Council meetings are established in the Code of Ordinance and are governed by the sections on rules of order.

Agendas are published in the Summit Daily News Community Page on the Monday before meetings, they are posted in the Silverthorne Recreation Center and Town Hall and also on our website (www.silverthorne.org). Citizens may also pick up agendas/agenda packets in the wooden wall box outside Council Chambers. We encourage our citizens to follow Council activities and to participate in Council meetings as much as possible.
