Any file format listed above can be imported into PhotoManager. When images are being uploaded to the web, they are converted into a .JPG file and compressed to about a 26K file.

We require that your images be in JPEG format. Typically, this includes files with a .jpg or .jpe extension.

If you are scanning the images yourself from photographs it is better to save them in either tif, or eps format. These image formats will preserve the color and sharpness of your pictures the best. However, we will accept jpg or jpeg if it is at least 300dpi. File formats like gif or jpg compress the pictures color and pixel resolution and may not maintain the true color of the image.

SD9 and SD10 images are stored on the camera using a proprietary RAW data format called X3F. The images are stored in 12-bit format and are compressed using a lossless compression algorithm that does not degrade the image quality; images arrive on the users computer unaltered, with the best image quality possible.

Many of our customers require other file formats such as .WAV or AIFF. You may opt at checkout to have these files sent to you on CD via UPS or USPS for a nominal charge, (usually $4.99 to $6.99 per CD for standard delivery). The CD charge is calculated automatically at checkout.

Shorten (extension .shn) is an audio compression scheme written by Tony Robinson of SoftSound that can compact wav files without subtracting out any frequencies. It's "lossless"- everything in the original wav is there, so that full quality is maintained. Artwork for all custom sign letters, plaques and logos need to be vector based. Vector--eps, ai, dxf, cdr--(not jpeg, gif or bitmap) files are required for provided production artwork. Art charges of $25.00 or more apply to non-compliant art to facilitate file conversions. NO art charges for text-only, standard-size plaques. Bitmaps, tiffs, gifs and jpegs are welcomed for layout & logo submissions.

Partially, this format can be used. But because stereo content only contains two images, you will see a 3D image only at a few spots in front of the Tri-Vision™ display.

I'm trying to do CTF correction. Did I understand it right, that the aim of the sliders it to get the theoretical curve and the "data-curve" congruent? If so, to what extent should this be done? I am curently playing around with that feature and am not sure how curves should match as I did not succeed to get everything congruent

Faximum stores all received faxes in TIFF-F format. This format is compatible with most graphics and word processing packages and fax images may be included with WordPerfect, FrameMaker, and other WP documents. SWIIFT [] can optionally convert received faxes into GIF format for viewing using a Web browser.

JPEG vs TIFF: If you plan to print your images or view them on tv then it is best to have your images saved as a JPEG format. Most photo processing stores will print a photo from Jpeg format. A Jpeg image can lose detail if it is edited and re-saved numerous times. This does not occur with an image saved as a TIFF format. If you intend to heavily edit your images on computer then you may be best considering having your images also saved in TIFF format.
