We ship you enough self-adhesive loop to mount your size screen with each order. Unless you specify a different color, black loop is shipped with your order. However, you can choose a different color if you like. Colors available are white, brown, beige, and gray.

There are many companies who are copying our garage door screen and we do not mind, however, many have come and gone and there are still a few out there who copy but can not duplicate our quality. The door package includes the sections, track, spring assembly, operator reinforcement bracket and hardware required to install the door. Several additional items can be purchased at your Holmes retailer to aid in installation. These items are: 1) Rear track hanger kit for attachment of the horizontal track to the ceiling in the back of the garage. Existing hangers generally can be reused.

A Solid Colors and Light/Heavy Chip Floors can be installed in two days. Granitex Floors will take three days to install. Solid Color Floors have two coats; one coat of epoxy and a topcoat of polyurethane. Chip Floors have at least three coats and Granitex floors have up to five coats.

Our standard garage floor installation only takes 1 day and our more decorative systems take 2 days. This includes all prep work plus the application of our flooring system.

Clean the screen, prime with spray primer (this is actually an optional step), paint the screen. Then stencil. I use cosmetic sponge wedges for the big solid color areas and shade with brushes. You can use the Americana Acrylic paint for the base and shade with the Easy Blend Dry Brush Paint. Our garage door screens have been designed to mount on the outside of your garage door, however, some customers do figure a way to mount them inside of their door. It is recommended to mount on the outside of you door to prevent any possibility of interference with the operation of your door.

Holmes recommends that only experienced do-it-yourselfers tackle installing a garage door. DIYers should enlist the help of at least one other person when installing a garage door for the first time. Common tools needed for installation are screwdrivers, wrenches, a power drill and a stepladder. Depending on the skill level of the DIYer, installation can take 8 – 10 hours.
