Access to Criminal History Records in California is limited strictly to law enforcement agencies for law enforcement purposes only and to the person who is the subject of the record to ensure that it is accurate and complete.

A Criminal history check is a 7 year (further if requested), “Hands On’ search of records is conducted and includes both misdemeanor and felony convictions in most courts are reported to you. You are provided with all available information of convictions including charges, offense date, conviction date, dispositions and sentencing and any extra information that available from the courts.

This is completed by the diocese after an application has been submitted through eAppsDB. Information is sent to the DPS electronically in a highly secured method required by the DPS and recommended by electronic security experts. The results are held confidentially by diocesan officials. The diocese will conduct a criminal record check every three years for each person. The individual does not have to re-enter their application for these tri-annual record checks to occur.

You can come to the Ukiah Police Department to check your local criminal history within our Department only. There is no charge for this service. You must show proper identification. If you require a clearance letter, one will be provided if you have no criminal history within this department. If you require a notarized clearance letter there is a $10.00 fee per Govt. code 8211 (a)(b).

The College licenses teachers and regulates the teaching profession in the public interest. To protect students and to help ensure that teachers are worthy of the trust placed in them by parents, students and colleagues, the College requires all new applicants to provide original signed reports of criminal record checks with their membership applications and to complete a declaration about their suitability for registration.

Yes, the $55 fee applies. This is not a printout of a record, just a response of "Does not have a record" or "A record may or may not exist". In the instance that the results indicate that "A record may or may not exist" the only procedure available to obtain a copy of what is on your record is to attend the Delta Police Department and have your fingerprints taken (by appointment only).

The DPS contracted fingerprinting service, FAST offers a complete suite of electronic fingerprinting services designed to provide authorized entities with the capability to obtain fingerprint-based criminal history checks for job applicants, licensees, volunteers, etc.

Expungement is a process through which information about a charge will be sealed or erased from your criminal record in the eyes of the law. Expungement is normally not available for convictions, but may be available if the offense was not referred for prosecution or the case was dismissed prior to indictment. GJP does not provide expungement services, but an expungement information sheet is available upon request.

Criminal history information is collected and maintained by the Criminal Justice Information System (CJIS) of the Department of Public Safety & Correctional Services at http://www1.dpscs.state.md.us/. Individuals can check their own criminal history by visiting their local sheriff's office or police barracks to request an individual review. You will be fingerprinted and your fingerprint identification will be sent to the CJIS Central Repository at P.O. Box 32708 Pikesville, MD, 21282-2708.

Individuals cannot check the criminal history of other individuals. Agencies can request the criminal history of an individual who is being considered for a position within that agency by applying for an authorization number.
