You can print off an enrollment certification/verification letter via the National Student Clearinghouse, 24 hours a day 7 days a week. There is a small processing fee when using the National Student Clearinghouse.

Typically requested by health insurance companies, auto insurance companies, lenders, and scholarship offices) You are now able to obtain an Official Enrollment Verification Certificate through a NEW self-service format. Computer generated enrollment verification reports are available at Union Station. The inquirer, such as an insurance company or scholarship fund, may provide their own form which Union Station will complete in lieu of the report.

Tentative enrollment verifications may be obtained up until the 12th class day. Official enrollment verifications can only be provided after the 12th class day.

A Verification of Enrollment is a letter signed and stamped by the Registrar's Office to verify that you attend(ed) St. Mary's. You may need to request a Verification of Enrollment for insurance purposes, loan deferment, to obtain your Military ID card, exempt you from jury duty, or for an employer. The letter of verification contains information regarding your status as a student (full-time or half-time enrollment), the semester dates that you attended, and your expected graduation date.

Students may access the "Enrollment Verification Self-Service" link from AppalNET . The link is located under the Student Campus Resources heading in the Academic Resources column. The "Self-Service" link will connect students to the National Student Clearinghouse Self-Service login site. After students accurately complete the log-in information, they will be forwarded to a 'Welcome' page and prompted to select a service.

Students that have not started to attend a program contact Admissions. Part-time students and students currently attending or between terms of school should submit requests for letters in writing to Student Records. Reference the Document Request Form [PDF, 557KB], this is a multipurpose form, fill out the form and Select "Verification Letter". If a Rush verification letter is requested please contact Student Records as during peak processing times this service may not be available.

The Registrar's Office issues proof of enrollment. Please stop in and request a status letter. Verification of enrollment for loan deferments are done by the Financial Aid Office. Students wishing to register for courses at another college or university with the intent of transferring these credits back to Washington should fill out a Summer School permit form. These forms are located in the Registrar's Office.
