Sounds like a mismatch between the tkbiff and your personal config file possibly because your config file is just so old that the interfaces have changed enough. Try moving your config aside, then rerun tkbiff and it will automatically recreate a new config file.

DenyHosts 1.0.0 adds two additional required configuration parameters that must be defined. You can refer to the denyhosts.cfg-dist file for sample usage of the new DENY_THRESHOLD_ROOT and DENY_THRESHOLD_VALID parameters. These parameters are also documented.

There is a no such thing as THE config file for a particular card or monitor. The XF86Config file you should use is dependent on your card, monitor, operating system, mouse, keyboard, individual preferences, network setup, available fonts, etc. It is not a good idea to exchange XF86Config files. While it may be safe to use certain parts of another's config file, in general, you are better off generating your own.

If you are upgrading to v0.9.9 (or later) from DenyHosts 0.8.0 through 0.9.8 and you have previously set PURGE_DENY in your configuration file then you must do the following: To upgrade your HOSTS_DENY file to the new timestamped format you must first invoke denyhosts with the --upgrade099 flag. Versions between 0.8.0 and 0.9.8 added a comment-timestamp (when PURGE_DENY was set) that caused tcp_wrappers to report an error. DenyHosts 0.9.

Run tkbiff once for each mailbox to be monitored. On UNIX, just add an -mbox flag to identify the particular mailbox. On MacOS, create a tiny file that says: set mbox "fromSusie" source tkbiff and then turn that into a clickable icon in the usual way and name it after your mailbox. On Windows, you can take either approach. This may not seem as graceful as biffs that understand multiple mailboxes directly.

The default init scripts do not start mvpmc. Instead they try and tftp a config file from your tftp server. This allows you to modify your use of mvpmc without rebuilding the dongle.bin file. It also allows you to easily have different configurations for different MediaMVPs in your network. Versions prior to v0.9.0 provided a -c or --config parameter. This is now deprecated. You can create as many (or as few) config files as you desire. The system, once the patchkit is applied, will have between 10 and 15, each of which implements certain functions or features. In addition, the normal place for the patchkit to make changes to the config files is in the GENERICISA file. This actually isn’t an error at all, just a warning. Although it does display a stacktrace from an exception (this will be removed in future versions), it is not a serious problem. It is simply jME letting you know that it could not find the properties file (which contains information about resolution), and it will create a new one. Just ignore it and move on. It's broken! All I get is this error: "java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: no lwjgl in java.library.

Some dvd drives needs to "unlock" the movie. So you just play the dvd with your dvd movie player, and then open the vob file in x2cd and it will work fine.

Personally, I find picons cute but a waste of time/space. However, someone did contribute a configuration for tkbiff that displayed pictures (src). It appears to understand picons although I haven't actually looked at the code to see how it works. Note that it's based on an older version of tkbiff, but I don't think the changes to the config file were major.
