Orbis EarthBalls are the world’s original ‘reality’ globes - displaying our planet as astronauts observe it from outer space. The bumps or textured surfaces on globes are called raised relief. Globes with raised relief better emphasize the mountainous areas of the world. They are there so you can see and feel the mountains. Being able to see and feel the Andes, Himalayas, or Rocky Mountains can give a better understanding of how geography can influence not only politics and culture, but natural phenomena, e.g. weather, as well.

Things are better now than they ever have been for women and artists of color and we have helped effect that change. Your rental is for the day(s) of your event. Typically, we make deliveries in the morning and return to pick-up the equipment before sunset. Our delivery goal is to arrive at least 2 hours before your event starts and pick-up within an hour after the event. We do understand that sometimes this is not possible or it is inconvenient for you, so we will make the delivery at a time that best serves you. All the reference globes we sell are totally current. Most also come with a globe replacement program, which allows you to purchase an updated globe ball from the manufacturer when needed. When political or place name changes occur, keep in mind that it does not usually change the contours of the land or geographical relationships between regions. Place names change and boundaries move, but the world itself stays fairly intact, so a quality globe can last for many years.

Most manufacturers have a policy of updating a map every time it's printed. Although the names or boundaries of countries can change due to wars or other political upheavals, most changes are simple name changes that are relatively easy to make. Usually when the U.S. State Department - along with representatives (usually the embassies of the governments involved), recognizes the changes as being a fact, the changes are implemented in our system.

Absolutely! We love indoor set-ups. There will need to be a doublewide door allowing access of the large inflatable roll-ups. There will also need to be a tall ceiling to allow for overhead clearance of the Inflatables when erect. If you have access to an indoor gymnasium or conference room, there is no need to be concerned with inclement weather conditions.

We set up the bounce or slide and take it down when we come to pick it up. This is done to ensure your safety and the safety of the equipment. Set up time is approximately 15-20 minutes for the bounces and 20-25 minutes for the slide. We ask that if you are done with the bounce or slide please DO NOT shut down the blower. The bounce or slide must be inflated before it is taken down so that we can inspect and possibly do a preliminary cleaning of the unit. Return to top of page.
