Read or reread The E-Myth Revisited. This is only a recommendation; you will still gain valuable insight at the seminar without reading it. If you are attending a Leadership Intensive, you will receive an email that contains a link to download some work to complete prior to the seminar.

The Library does not administer the test, but good study guide is the Library Workshop Manual on the library's webpage. A printed version is on reserve at the Circulation desk.

It is scheduled to be three hours long. There are two sessions (approximately an hour and fifteen minutes each) with a break in the middle for refreshments. But we can customize the seminar for a longer or shorter time frame if you wish. The three-hour format is best for an evening seminar (say from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m.) or a Saturday morning, Saturday afternoon, or Sunday afternoon. Any three-hour time slot will work.

Since all of our seminars are scheduled "by request", additional seminars are added to our schedule just as soon as another group invites us to conduct one. Since we don't select when or where the seminars are going to be held, our schedule continually changes as we receive requests. Successful completion of the PCT requires a high level of physical and mental conditioning, as well as the skills covered in the The Pacific Crest Trail Hiker's Handbook by Ray Jardine. (The Hiker's Handbook is now out of print but Jardine has a new book out called Beyond Backpacking in which he expands on his theories and techniques). Ray Jardine recommends trimming every conceivable superfluous ounce from your pack since the effort to carry each ounce is greatly amplified over 2,600 miles.

Other than drinking a glass of water for contrast to distend the stomach, no preparation is necessary, and there are no injections. Before the exam, you will take 5-10 minutes to fill out a detailed medical questionnaire.

After referral by your doctor and evaluation by a hyperbaric medicine specialist you will be given detailed instructions. You will be asked not to wear the following materials while in the chamber: hair oils, hair spray, perfumes, make-up, nylons (panty hose), ointments, liniments, petroleum or Vaseline products, wigs or hair pieces, aftershave, synthetics (i.e. rayon, nylon, etc.), or salves. Watches should not be worn in the chamber because they may break under the increased pressure.

While you are waiting for your organ transplant, you will be provided with a pager or cell phone so the transplant center can contact you at any time to tell you an organ is available. Always keep your pager with you. You may also wish to give the transplant center several numbers where you can be reached and the name and number of a few people who will always know how to reach you. Arrange for someone to go with you to the transplant center when you have the organ transplant.

For cats, we recommend closing closet, bedroom, and basement doors. If your cats are very timid, we may recommend that you confine them to a room without much furniture, such as a bathroom, so that we won't have to remove them from hiding places. For most dogs, there is no preparation required.
