If you are wearing soft contacts they need to be out for at least two weeks before your evaluation exam and two weeks before your surgery. If you are wearing hard or gas permeable contact lenses they need to be out for at least three weeks prior to your exam and surgery. If you have little or no astigmatism we can try and get you into soft lenses for this three week period.

Hard and gas permeable lenses reshape the cornea, and even a soft lens can alter the shape by causing swelling. Leaving them out helps your cornea return to its most natural shape. By waiting this period of time, or even longer, we try to assure that we will get the most accurate results from your exam, which has a direct effect on the accuracy of your surgery. The goal is to get the best measurements for your vision correction.

It depends on how many contacts are being added, how many contacts are on the phone, the type of phone and the nature of any changes. Adding 50 contacts to a new phone may take 2-3 minutes. When updating contacts, only those contacts that have been changed will be sent to the phone, so updates are generally much faster.

How long it takes the eyes to adjust to wearing contacts depends on the person and the type of lens. Hard contact lenses may take several weeks to two months before they can be worn comfortably for any length of time. Soft contact lenses usually only take several days to a week. At first, contact wearers may experience some irritation, redness, tearing, sensitivity to light and occasional blurred vision.

This depends on the malfunction, your emotional constitution, and your ability to apply the principles in activities like driving and reading. If you take it step by step, the process can be great fun and enjoyable. For some people it may take a few days, for others, several months or even years.

Soft lenses are good until expiration date written on the box. Rigid Gas Permeable (RGP) lenses are good for 2-3 years.

You have two options. Click on CONTACTS heading next to VIEW and select SHOW ALL CONTACTS. The second option is to right click on any contact in your list and select SHOW ALL CONTACTS.
