We chose to use Flash video (FLV) because it is the “safest” video platform meaning that the most people can view the videos without having to download extra software. Flash video is used by all the major video sharing sites (YouTube, MetaCafe, Revver and DailyMotion to name a few) and only requires the Flash Plug-in to play. Windows Media (WMV) files only play on PCs running Microsoft Windows and many people don’t have QuickTime installed.
