There are four main paths of Yoga - Karma Yoga, Bhakti Yoga, Jnana Yoga and Raja Yoga. The one you keep practicing. All existing styles have something to offer or they would have died out. Some excel at particular types of combat -- ie TKD is known for kicking. Some are more suited to particular body types -- ie judo for a smaller stockier persion. But much more important than style are the skills of the individual, and that takes a lot of practice time to develop. So 'best' is the one you enjoy enough to keep practicing in.

Before I got into making armour I didn't know that there were different variations of historical armour for individual purposes. On the historical battlefield one would see many different types of armour being worn by soldiers depending on their roll. Throughout history, militaries have had to constantly redesign their defensive clothing to adapt to new weapons developed by their enemies.

There is no best, worst, or average. Each person is a compendium of the different styles. Some components are stronger than others, some are less predominant. Determine how and where the barriers are going to be used. Each of the bases has its own advantages. The most popular is the traditional Bridge Base.
