We think it's hard enough for a new mum to take care of their new baby, so it would be extremely difficult for a young girl with no experience! However, occasionally we do have au pairs come onto the database who have the necessary experience with small babies and of course only you can make that decision on what is right for you and your family. Au pairs are not trained in any way to look after small children or babies and should not be in sole charge of children under 4 years of age. Many au pairs have experience in looking after small children or babies but that does not necessarily mean they are experienced.

Both chloroquine and proguanil can be given from birth. Chloroquine is available as syrup but proguanil will need to be crushed and given with jam or food. Mefloquine can be given to infants weighing 5 kg or more (see SPC). Atovaquone/proguanil (Malarone®) can be given to infants weighing 11 kg or more; paediatric tablets are available. One of the main challenges in giving malaria prevention tablets to babies and young children will be the practical aspects of administration.

Children age 2 and younger are not yet able to understand and recognize many dangers that threaten their physical safety. Parents must take measures to keep babies and young children safe from everyday hazards both inside and outside of the home. Also, infants and young children are continually exposed to a variety of germs. Children age 2 and younger have immature immune systems, which makes them vulnerable to bacterial and viral infections.

Of course they can take herbs! Simply decrease the dose depending on the child's weight. Each herbal order comes with a mathematical formula to calculate the dose depending on a child's weight. The Turkey Rhubarb Formula is usually too strong for children. The Colon Cleanse Syrup is mild and specifically designed for children. If a child or infant has a severe health issue, it is better to take herbs than not to try.

For the same reason as above, no toxicity, Spagyric medicine is especially recommended for children ? and is also especially effective: children are much more receptive to energetic therapies than adults polluted by unhealthy life-styles; results are generally also obtained much quicker. Many combinations deal with issues for which traditional medicine does not offer satisfying solutions: emotional problems related to school, parents divorcing, hyperactive or indigo children for example.

The dose steps for chloroquine syrup are not the same as for chloroquine tablets and a child may be prescribed a different dose of chloroquine depending on whether they take tablets or syrup (See Malaria Guidelines for dosage tables). The main reason for any differences is due to the different amount of chloroquine base within the syrup and the tablets. The chloroquine syrup formulation contains 50mg chloroquine base / 5mls syrup.

Balenbouche is a fun environment for children of all ages. However, one should keep in mind that the property and certain areas of the houses (especially the historic Estate house) are not particularly safe for very young children - supervision is required at all times.

pairs are entitled to a private bedroom, meals, a weekly wage which will increase if the minimum wage increases, a full weekend off each month, two weeks of paid vacation, and up to $500 towards attending an institution of higher education.

Most au pairs are fully licensed to drive in their home countries. If the host family wants the au pair to drive they must include the au pair on their insurance policy and assume the associated costs.
