How often is the Basic Orientation Plus? program offered?

The BOP Course is offered Monday, Wednesday and Friday. During major shutdowns, we may offer courses on evenings and weekends when necessary. MASC observes the following holidays and will be closed on these days: New Year's Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. How long does it take to complete the Basic Orientation Plus? program?

Generally, it takes about 5 hours to complete (this includes testing and review), however due to unforseen circumstances class may run longer than anticipated. Registration begins at 7:00 a.m. and class begins at 7:30 a.m. Registration procedures include verifying identification from students, accepting payment and photographing students for their ID card.

What if one of my employees does not pass the Basic Orientation Plus? program?

Students and do not pass are permitted to return and re-take the course within two weeks at no charge. To ensure that they gain a fuller understanding of the material, they are are required to go through the program again, and not just the testing. If there are circumstances that make it difficult for the student to complete the course successfully, we will work with you to determine what can be done.
