All academic scholarship recipients are expected to maintain a cumulative 3.0 GPA to renew their scholarship each year. Leadership scholarship recipients must maintain a 2.5 GPA. Music scholarship recipients must achieve a 2.5 overall GPA and a 3.0 in their applied music field.

Answer: The Stony Brook ATP is structured so that the application process is completed during the spring semester of sophomore year, however a junior or senior-level student may apply when the required prerequisite coursework is completed.

We feel that students who have completed at least two years of undergraduate education will be better prepared to fully take advantage of the opportunities in this program. It is imperative that high school juniors considering early admission are academically prepared for the challenges of college. Students must discuss their intent with their high school guidance counselor, receive written approval from the guidance counselor or high school principal, and receive satisfactory scores on ability-to-benefit testing. There is a formal process for students to be considered.

Chronological age is only a guideline. Two 17 year olds can differ in their physcial developement by 2 or maybe 3 years depending on whether they were an early or late developer. The high performance version of Total Soccer Fitness is suitable for players who's bones have stopped growing. This happens when growth plates at either end of the bone ossify (meaning the cartilage turns into bone).

There is a prom in the spring of each year. Prom is for Juniors and Seniors. Underclassmen may attend if they are the date of a Junior or Senior. This event is held off-campus at a site to be determined. There is also an "after prom" event called "Project Prom." This gives the students the opportunity to have fun in a safe, alcohol and drug-free environment. This event is also chaperoned by faculty and parents.

A few workshops will be dedicated specifically to junior administrators (those relatively new to higher education), while some will be geared primarily toward senior administrators (seasoned professionals in higher education). This is a new effort on our part to respond to the different needs and interests of these groups. Not all workshops will have this feature, but be sure to read carefully so that you go to a workshop that is appropriate for your level of experience.

Not at this time. The only requirement is for the Principal Investigator/Project Director (PI/PD). But keep in mind that when NIH allows multiple PIs on research grant applications, it will be a requirement for all PIs associated with the application. This was used to differentiate between a father and son with the same name. However, this wasn't the only way the words were used. The vicar sometimes used the terms to show the differences between two males who bore the same name, but were not father and son and in this instance the occupation, or class (such as Yeoman) was often given.

I went to both my junior and senior proms. For junior prom I wore a pale pink, strapless Jessica McClintock dress with sequins on the bodice. I had a very unfortunate hairdo involving a braid which started directly above my right ear, went horizontally around the back of my head, and ended with a sort of hair fountain directly above my left ear. For senior prom I wore a dark purple off the shoulder Jessica McClintock dress which had either a bow or a flowers on the front that I cut off.

As long as your school or major does not recommend or specify a completion deadline for the Math Requirement, you can take Math in any semester you choose. We find that taking Math is easier for many students when it's done earlier. This is especially true if you'll be taking Calculus. Completing the Math Requirement no later than junior year would seem to be a good, general recommendation.
