Winston-Salem is centrally located in North Carolina and is easily accessible via Interstates 77, 40, 85 and U.S. Highway 52. As such, we are a convenient drive for the majority of regional- and state-based meetings. Because of this, meetings held in Winston-Salem almost always have increased attendance.

Winston-Salem is located at the intersection of U.S. Highway 52 and Interstate 40 (I-40). Business Interstate 40 runs parallel to I-40 through downtown. Interstate 85 is located just south of Winston-Salem and connects to the city via U.S. Highway 52. Interstate 77 is located one hour west of Winston-Salem, and Interstate 95 is two hours east of Winston-Salem, both are accessed via I-40.

Both downtown San Diego and Lindbergh Field are approximately 35 minutes from Rancho Bernardo. During rush hour, depending on traffic, it can take slightly longer.

The majority of Leadership Associates will spend the six-month program in Winston-Salem. The Retail Concentration and a few corporate concentrations will have training in other cities. Corporate Concentration and Mortgage Banking Associates will spend approximately six weeks in Winston-Salem, and BB&T will provide temporary housing for them. Other Leadership Associates must arrange for their own living accommodations.

There are 47 hotels with nearly 5,000 rooms in Winston-Salem and Forsyth County ranging in size from a four-room bed and breakfast to a 460-plus room hotel.

Winston-Salem offers diverse entertainment options. In downtown, near the convention center, you can find hotels with lounges/bars and, even some with live entertainment. The Speakeasy Jazz is located on Fourth and Cherry Streets and also features live entertainment. Just north of the convention center is the Downtown Arts District, home to Thea's House of Jazz & Blues, as well as The Garage which features a variety of local and regional artists.

Bradley is about 40 minutes from New Haven / East Haven so we wouldn't recommend a taxi drive - renting a car at the airport would be recommended.

Golf carts are not available for transporting passengers. In the Main Terminal passengers may use the elevators, escalators and moving walkways to minimize walking distances. The roll-on/roll-off AGT (train) then transports passengers between the Main Terminal and the Airside Terminals (Gates Areas). Reno-Tahoe International Airport is at the east end of Plumb Lane and there are freeway ramps for easy access to the terminal from Highway 395 south of the junction with Interstate 80. From the airport it's a couple miles to the downtown casinos, the National Bowling Stadium, or to the Peppermill/Atlantis area on South Virginia Street. A taxi is about $12.

Generally the families live within 15 minutes by bus from the school. Taxis are very inexpensive and also a convenient way to get to school. A lot of families live within walking distance, depending upon the country. Most of the schools are located only a short distance from the downtown area.

The Richmond Hill campus, where freshmen and sophomores live and study, is about 7 miles or 35 minutes by Tube. The Kensington campus, where juniors and seniors live and study, is right in the heart of central London.
