To ensure product freshness and optimum product flavour & texture we advise that you follow the best before date on all our packages.

The code dates on our Silver Spring products read as “Best When Purchased by Date.” Always check this date to assure that you are buying the freshest available products.

The code on our packages can be read as follows. Using DD3169 as an example, the two alpha letters (DD) are a plant-processing code. The first three numbers (316) indicate the numerical day of the year (in this case, the 316th day of the year). The last number indicates the year. Thus, DD3169 means the product was packaged on November 12, 1999. If stored properly, the nuts will remain fresh for at least two years.

In the USA, the products have a standard "Use By Date" which is 1 year from the date they are manufactured.

The year code shall correspond to the last numeral of the year of production. Example: 2002 would be coded as 2.

The code dates are Julian - two digit year then the number of days from the beginning of the calendar year. Most day planners have the day.

Expiry Date' means the last date that you can use the selected connecting tone. After the expiry date, the connecting tone will be removed from your "My Collection" You can first select a caller group and enter a new phone number and your friend's name and press 'submit'. You can store 20 local phone numbers at maximum.

Expiry date is etched onto the bottle for export product. Australian product is two years from bottling.

Our dating code for our gum follows the format DDMMYY (DAY MONTH YEAR), and it reflects the product's expiration date.

Our frozen products are guaranteed (if kept frozen) for 2 years past the manufacture date. Codes are embossed on the side of each product box. Our grocery products (canned and jarred products) are guaranteed for 36 months past the manufacture date. Codes are imprinted on the top of each product can or jar.

The production code is located on the back of the bagged products, to the right or the left of the UPC bar code. On boxed products the production code is located on the side of the package. On canned products the production code is located on the top or bottom of the can. Note: If your production code does not follow the example above, please feel free to contact our Consumer Relations Department for assistance (refer to FAQ question - How would I contact the company?).

example of a code is: 12Feb02 450F 0821. The 12Feb02 indicates that the food is best used by February 12 of the year 2002. The number 450 identifies the product (Vanilla Custard Pudding), the "F" indicates the plant where the food was made and the 0821is the military time when the food was manufactured.

Urine drug tests have a shelf-life between 12-18 months from the date of manufacturing. The expiration date and Lot # of devices is indicated on a foil pouch. It is recommended that you confirm the expiration date prior to administering a test.
