No. You can not stream live content through our servers without licensing a live streaming server from Real Networks. Our administrators are well versed with the Real Network products and we can assist you in doing virtually anything you wish.

With some formats like RealAudio and RealVideo, you can try what's called http-streaming, even though SCN doesn't have streaming servers. For some other formats, users will have to wait for the files to download before playing them.

You can protect your media content by Digital Rights Management (DRM) technology. But screen video capture software and direct audio recording software will allow to record such streams in such cases.

We don’t currently have features in our system to support streaming audio or video. We’ve had a couple of requests for this and may consider adding this functionality to future upgrades to the system. We have not yet evaluated how important it is to our entire user-base, however, and that may affect how quickly we integrate features like these.
