Yes! As a general rule, all our DVDs and VIDEOS we offer are available in both PAL and NTSC. All DVDs and VIDEOS we send to USA and any other NTSC countries are automatically sent in the NTSC system, open region if it is a DVD. The few DVDs we have marked as NTSC only or PAL only on our site are often available on VHS in NTSC or PAL, same price. These are usually "A" prefix coded. Just put VHS in the special instructions section of the on-line order form for a DVD listing.

We are producing them in both formats. Currently, the Air Safaris DVD is only available in PAL format for Australia, New Zealand and most of Europe. PAL and NTSC are the television standards for different parts of the world. There is also a third - SECAM. NTSC covers the United States, Canada, Japan, and a few other places. SECAM covers France and Russia. PAL covers the rest of the world. PAL, SECAM, & NTSC are basically a different way of displaying the picture on the television. The main differences are in the number of horizontal lines displayed on the screen, and the number of frames per second displayed.

We normally produce PAL DVDs, as they are both the Australian and International standard, and produce the highest quality output (625 lines of resolution instead of 525). However, these will not work in the USA or Canada. We can also produce NTSC DVDs for the USA and Canada upon request.

We can do either. If you wish for your DVD to play in PAL TV's, the Authoring process and format must be in PAL in order to play on the PAL formatted Televisions/players.

It's a common misconception that simply because a video format is digital it is no longer PAL or NTSC. All digital video formats (DVD, Mini-DV, DVCAM, etc.) are still based on the PAL, SECAM, NTSC video systems.

Each DVD will be produced in the format for the country in which it was filmed. As the first leg of the tour is in Europe, the first discs will be offered in PAL. North American concerts will be offered in NTSC. Keep in mind that these discs will not be "region coded"...and that computers with playback software installed for PAL and/or NTSC video will be able to view all concerts using the computer as a transport.

Given the growing worldwide availability of NTSC equipment we have elected NTSC as our standard worldwide format. Most VCR's in America use the NTSC format. The PAL format is used extensively in Europe, Asia and Australia. Unless you have a VCR that can switch between and play both PAL and NTSC, you will not be able to play an NTSC tape in a PAL player, and vice versa.

Currently, Home Video Hits can process PAL tapes in DV and VHS format only. However we can output to both PAL and NTSC for your DVD. This is important if you want to send your DVD to friends and relatives in the United States or Canada as your video will need to be in NTSC format for their DVD players to read it.

We carry VHS (NTSC) for ALL movies in the site except where specifically stated; European movies (only) are available in BOTH NTSC and PAL, so when ordering these, please specify.

PAL format is the kind of video standard that is used in many European Countries. NTSC is used in the United States and many other Countries like Japan for example. PAL has nothing to do with the actual videocassette...VHS is a world standard. PAL has to do with the output Hz of the local electric company therefore affecting the speed at which your TV will be refreshed/drawing on the screen. If you are in doubt, call a local TV repair store; they will give you the correct option to order.

We currently offer our educational products on VHS video in NTSC format and on DVD. We are unable to offer our products in PAL format at this time because the demand is minimal, making the costs too prohibitive. We have found that most of our international customers have been requesting the courses on DVD.

Remove Video Studio, then re-install the software again. During the installation, you can select the video format to be either PAL or NTSC formats. ( refer to graphic) Since the controls of PCI interface are disabled under Windows XP/2000, a new PCI card cannot be installed into your system. Please follow the installation procedures below:

There are two basic formats of television signal. In the UK and Europe (and Japan) the standard is called 'PAL', yet in America the standard format is 'NTSC'. DVD discs can be encoded in either of these two formats, and this should not be confused with Region Coding as this is something completely different. In almost all cases, NTSC discs can be played within the UK and Europe without any problems.

These are two different TV picture standards. Region 2 (Europe) uses the PAL standard whereas region 1 (USA and Canada) uses the NTSC standard. These standards are incompatible with one another and to be able to view a region 1 DVD on a UK TV, you'll need to have an NTSC compatible or multi-standard TV.
