Your glasses can be made with the "Transition" or “Sunsensors” photosensitive features. These types of lenses are clear in normal lighting conditions, but tint themselves under sunlight and include a 100% UV filter. These types of lenses can be fitted to any of the frames in our range or any of the designer brand sunglasses which we stock . These options can be specified when ordering after you have selected your frame.

Option 1 ? choose from our extensive range of "true sunglasses frames". These can either be ordered as plain sunglasses with non-prescription lenses OR you can chose to add prescription lenses at an additional cost of ?25 for a standard tint with uv400 coating or ?35 for a graduated tint with uv400 coating. Crafting and fitting prescription sunglass lenses into sunglass frames, especially wrap style frames, are difficult and require a high degree of skill. In most outdoor conditions, Transitions Lenses are perfect for reducing the sun's glare. They actually lighten and darken as the sun goes in and out of the clouds. However, since extremely high temperatures tend to affect lens performance, Transitions Lenses may not always get as dark as sunglasses. Ask your eyecare specialist for advice. Yes, we carry the latest leading brand names. These types of eyeglasses are called photochromic lenses. They rely on UV light to change from light to dark. The level of change will depend on the amount of UV light. These are not meant to replace sunglasses used for driving.
