How do I install my new LNB?
Cband Satellite Frequently Asked QuestionsTypically, LNBs are bolted to the feedhorn. You would need to unbolt the old LNB and connect the new one using your old bolts or ones that are provided. It is a good idea to use coax cable seal after you install the new LNB. On an older system the new LNB may not fit on your feedhorn. Older LNBs were larger and to fit them under the feedhorn cover a 90 degree elbow was installed to lay the LNB flat. If you remove this 90 degree elbow your new LNB will bolt directly to the feedhorn.
What is an LNB?
Europe Online - FAQ - AnswersLNB stands for Low Noise Block downconverter. Which type of LNB can be used?
PERSIATECHskyDSL uses the frequency range (IF) 950 to 2,150 MHz. The LNB therefore needs to cover this band. These LNBs are called "digital LNB" because digital transmitters use the higher frequency band.
My friends keep talking about the DSR and the LNB. What are they ?
Welcome to Cometcable....The DSR is the Digital Satellite Receiver. It receives the digital signal from the dish and processes it into a video signal. The LNB is the Low Noise Block converter. It converts the incoming satellite wave to electrical signals.
