Albacore is classified as "white" tuna, but there are several factors which can produce visible can-to-can variations in colour. It has been determined through research and processing experience that factors such as location where caught, water depth and temperature, and diet of the fish can affect the appearance, odour, flavour, and /or texture of the fish. This natural variation in raw fish is common to the tuna industry and is sometimes reflected in the finished product.

That's up to you! We would discuss your requirements for the day, and if you want both that's not a problem. Most people naturally opt for colour, but black and white can be so much more dramatic. Every light source whether sunlight, flash, incandescent, fluorescent or tungsten halogen lamps has a 'colour temperature' which describes its overall colour within the spectrum. Although some lighting may appear to be white, when photographed the camera may record a yellowish, reddish or bluish cast to the light. This affects how 'true' the colour appears in the finished image and explains why colour reproduction of paintings and fabrics is often very approximate.

Another personal issue - although there are some guidelines to be adhered to: Colour does not work well in dark conditions unless you have superb lighting or use of Digital Cameras. Infra-red will not work with Colour Cameras. Black & White Cameras are normally a higher specification and offer a far crisper picture. Black & White will work well at night with the aid of Infra-red or normal Halogen Lighting.

The non-native PDF files will always be black and white, as they are scanned by a black and white scanner. Native PDF files on the other hand are created by the listed company, in the colours that were intended for the document. Native PDF files are not always in colour. After 1st July 2003, all articles will be native PDFs

YES! Gary and Sue will look at each and every shot and judge it on its own merits. Blinks and duplicates will be removed and you will then choose which angle, viewpoint, from the colour or black and white images best suits your album as you would like it.

What process do you follow when you buy tuna? Most people look at the shelves and the prices and pick what they feel is the lowest price. Unfortunately, most people don't understand the differences between tuna and why they are different prices. Albacore is the premium tuna and only Albacore may be called White tuna. It is a different fish than those sold as Light tuna, and does cost more.
