Students must carry a minimum of 12 credit hours to retain full-time status. Part-time is considered 11 credit hours or less.

Credit hours are the credit values to courses within its jurisdiction. Faculty states the minimum number of credit hours which must be successfully completed for graduation.

The student must complete 72 credit hours. The duration of the program for Basic students is four terms in two years and for the Transition student it is 3 terms.

Every hour over 18 will be assessed at one-half the hourly day rate (in 2007 ? 2008 this rate is $407 per hour).

Ans. All Master's degrees require 36 SH credits, except the Master of Theological Studies which requires 60 SH credits.

Ans. A total of no less than 54 credits are required beyond a 36 SH Master's degree. It is suggested that the student who is desiring to earn a doctoral degree, enroll for a second Master's degree and allow those credits to apply toward the doctoral degree. Once this is done, the student would like only an additional 24 credits for the doctoral degree.

If you look in the detailed description pages for each course, you will see that we provide a range of hours, usually from 2 to 4 hours per class. We don't specify an exact number of hours, but rather we give a range because people learn at different speeds. Also, some people pause to take notes, others do all of the exercises and quizzes, some people do further research into other related web sites and resources, and so on.

Willamette University requires 31 credits for graduation, with no more than 10 credits received in a single department (internship credits are exempted from this limitation). Our major is structured to require 9.25 credits in Psychology, including the major internship courses which together count as the senior year experience, plus one lab-based science course.

The number of hours a subject is taught during a week make up the credit hours. E.g.: A subject may be taught 3 hours a week and so the number of credit hours for that subject is 3. You have to enroll for a minimum of 9 credit hours every semester to be in status. If you are enrolled in less than 9 credit hours, you will have to file an exception with the Office of International Programs.

An official transcript from the issuing institution will need to be submitted for any student wishing to receive transfer credit. The issuing institution must be regionally accredited for the student to be eligible to receive credit. Remedial or developmental hours are not transferable.

Each hour of instruction is valued at one credit. Each course day is 7 hours long. A two day course earns 14 credits; a three day course earns 21 credits.

The Credit Union is open Monday – Friday 10:00am to 4:00pm. The last transactions of the day are completed at 3:45pm.

Hours represent physical time spent at a particular ministry or service. Credits take time a step further, acknowledging a qualitative component in the ministry or service experience, and emphasizing “value-added” by the student to the service and by the service to the student.

The second number in the course number determines the number of credit hours received for a course. This is normally equal to the number of hours a course meets per week Courses involving laboratory time typically meet additional hours.

Credits earned through DConline course work are accredited through The Palmer Institute for Professional Advancement. Palmer will send you a report of your CEU activities. DConline will also record your work.

It depends on the purpose for which you need to be enrolled full-time. For most financial aid, greek houses, insurance, and other purposes, the minimum number of credit hours for full-time enrollment is 12 hours. Check with the agency or office which has the requirement to be sure.

Most students enroll for a total of 12-16 credit hours. The general recommendation from faculty members is to spend two hours of reading/study time outside of class for each hour of class time. If a student is working or has other commitments, the total time required to be successful in a class should be considered when deciding each semester’s credit-hour load.
