I get asked this question a lot. The dome is inflated by a fan that runs continuously. If the fan stops, the dome comes down very slowly. At the beginning of every session an emergency exiting procedure is given. This involves simply lifting the dome on one side and everyone is clear. You'll be relieved to know that a full freezer will stay at freezing temperatures about 2 days; a half-full freezer about 1 day. A power failure can damage your data. First you MUST go to Tools menu -> Reindex and Click on Reindex to tidy up your files. Then go to Tools menu -> Check Data Integrity to test whether all accounts are still OK. You will be notified of any problem accounts that may have been damaged.
